Our web store and warehouse are operating as usual, however there may be some delays in receiving your order due to restricted carrier services.
We ship all our products from our warehouse in the UK. We offer free shipping and returns worldwide, however there may be customs duties and/or additional taxes payable for customers located outside the UK, the EU, the EEA States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland. These charges are usually paid to the courier service as per their instructions.
In stock items will be ready to ship within 1 to 2 days. Depending on your location, delivery takes between 1 to 7 days once the parcel leaves our warehouse.
Out of stock items can sometimes be pre-ordered depending on leather colour availability at the time (full payment will be taken upon placing order) and will typically be ready to ship within 30 to 45 days.
Packages will arrive at your door via one of our professional courier partners - e.g. DPD, DHL or Royal Mail.
You’ll receive an initial confirmation email upon placing your order. Once your order ships, you will receive a second email that will include a tracking number. If you haven’t received this email, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
International orders outside the UK, the EU, the EEA States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland may be subject to customs duties and/or additional taxes, for which the customer is liable. These charges are usually paid to the courier service as per their instructions. If the customer refuses the delivery due to the import duties and/or other fees, the package will be returned to the sender, in which case any additional fees will be responsibility of the customer and the original order will not be refunded. Each country has different rates for these taxes. If you would like to learn more about these charges, please contact your local customs office. Maki Sandals is not responsible for any customs duties and/or additional taxes payable.

SIZE & FIT
Simply measure the length of your feet to choose the best fitting sandal size. Please refer to our Size Chart page for further information on how to measure your feet and to find out the corresponding sandal size.
Our sandals range between sizes UK 2 to 9 | EU 35 to 42 | US 5 to 12. For foot measurements corresponding to these sizes please refer to our Size Chart page.
All our belts come in one size, measuring 100 cm (39.3 inches) in length and 2 cm (0.8 inches) in width. There are no punch holes as the ones you see in conventional belts. The gaps formed between each braid function as punch holes, allowing for a higher variety of fitting options. Please refer to our Size Chart page for further information on the belt fit.
ABOUT THE SANDALS
Your Maki Sandals are lovingly handmade by skilled craftsmen in Bodrum, Turkey, using ancient techniques of these lands. All our sandals are made using premium quality calfskin leather with 4mm anti-slip natural rubber heels and padded soles for additional comfort. We carefully review each pair for quality, first in Turkey, then in London.
We only sell through our online store, however we may have pop-ups in London, Istanbul, Tokyo or maybe even where ever you are! Feel free to sign up to our newsletter below to be one of the first ones to find out about our next pop-up location...
The colour of the actual product may be slightly different from what you see on your screen. We have made every effort to represent the colours accurately, however due to the wide range of screen technologies and colour display settings, you should consider what you see on screen as an approximate representation of the actual product colour.
There are some qualities of your sandals that subtly hint to the hand making process, and these pin-sized holes are one of them. Unlike machine made sandals, during the traditional process of handmade sandals, the insole is temporarily pinned to the shoe last (formwork) from two to three points. This enables the stretching and shaping of the straps accurately - a process that relies heavily on the skill and strength of the craftsman. Once the insole and straps are fixed, the pins are removed, exposing the holes that you see on your sandals. We like to think that it is a unique trademark stamp of the craftsman who made your sandals.
Leather is an organic material so it will change in colour and texture over time as part of its natural aging process. To clean your sandals, use a damp cloth by gently wiping off any dirt. For more serious stains, we recommend taking your sandals to a professional leather cleaning and maintenance service.
Wearing your sandals in wet weather is not recommended as water may stain the leather.
We would love to hear about what we are doing right and/or wrong so please do contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
